Title: Love Is Giving.
"Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up" (1 Corinthians 13:4).
Devotion:
Love is a conscious decision and choice we make, not just a feeling. In a world where love is often distorted by lust and self-interest, it's essential to understand the true nature of love. According to 1 Corinthians 13:4, genuine love is patient, kind, and promotes others without seeking to boast or elevate oneself.
If our actions towards others lack these qualities, we risk being hypocrites. When we show love to the brethren, our motivation should not be to receive something in return but to glorify God and trust in His reward. Ultimately, our love should be selfless, not transactional.
As we reflect on our actions, let's ask ourselves: Do they meet the requirements of love? Do we show love because it's good to love, or are we motivated by ulterior motives? May we strive to love unconditionally, just as Christ loved us.
