Title: Peace in Times of War!

War in the Middle East, Ukraine, and tensions in South China remind us that humanity is often caught in storms beyond its control. Yet Scripture teaches that true peace is not the absence of conflict, but the presence of Christ.

Jesus Christ Himself is the giver of peace. He said, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” (John 14:27). The world may offer fragile treaties and temporary ceasefires, but Christ offers an inner calm that transcends circumstances.

How then do we acquire this peace in times of war? First, by trusting in God’s sovereignty. Isaiah reminds us, “You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.” (Isaiah 26:3). Even when nations rage, believers anchor their hearts in God’s unshakable rule.

Second, through prayer. Paul exhorts us, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6–7). Prayer transforms fear into faith and ushers divine peace into troubled hearts.

Third, by living as peacemakers. Jesus declared, “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.” (Matthew 5:9). In war zones and in daily life, believers are called to embody reconciliation, forgiveness, and compassion.

Finally, by fixing our eyes on eternity. Paul writes, “For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.” (2 Corinthians 4:17). Peace comes when we see beyond the battlefield to the eternal kingdom where Christ reigns forever.

In the Middle East, Ukraine, and South China, the cries of war echo loudly. Yet amid the chaos, Christ whispers: “Be still, and know that I am God.” (Psalm 46:10). Nations may rise and fall, but His kingdom is everlasting. True peace is not found in political negotiations or military strength—it is found in surrender to the Prince of Peace. When hearts yield to Him, even in the shadow of war, His light shines, calming storms within and offering hope beyond the conflict.

You may be going through a war in your home, office, business or school remember Jesus says come unto me all ye ...Matt 11:28. I urge you to do so now and enjoy God's peace that surpasses all understanding Phil 4:7. Share your thoughts here and feel free to share this with your contacts.
