Title: The Lord Our Provider.

Scripture focus: “The Lord will provide” (Genesis 22:14).

Devotion: Life often presents seasons of lack, uncertainty, or need, but Scripture reminds us that God is not only aware of our needs—He delights in meeting them. He is Jehovah Jireh, “The Lord will provide” (Genesis 22:14). Abraham declared this name after God provided a ram in place of Isaac, showing that His provision is timely, sufficient, and rooted in His love.
Jesus reassures us in Matthew 6:31–33: “So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ … But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” God’s provision flows when our hearts are aligned with His kingdom. He knows our daily needs and promises to supply them.
Paul echoes this truth in Philippians 4:19: “And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.” Notice that it is not according to our limited resources, but according to His infinite riches. His provision is abundant, not scarce.
Therefore, let us trust Him fully. Whether it is material needs, strength for trials, or peace in chaos, the Lord remains faithful. Our role is to rest in His promises, walk in obedience, and remember that the One who feeds the sparrows and clothes the lilies will surely care for us.
