Title: Hearer or Doer?

But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks intently at his natural face in a mirror. For he looks at himself and goes away and at once forgets what he was like. James 1:22‭-‬24 ESV

Devotion: As medical students we used to watch surgical procedures on the screen and we believed we could carry out the surgery. Then one day we were asked to try our hands on the cadaver, it was then we realized that it was not easy as we thought. We needed many years of practice to be perfect.

 Dear reader, you have been reading these write ups, listening to the preachers weekly or even more frequently. Have you ever tried to put what you heard into practice? Do you know that you can only become like Jesus by doing what He did which is what you read from bible or heard from preachers.

  In the kindergarten we used to sing ... I want to be like Jesus in gentleness, faithfulness and obedience... Let's begin to practice total obedience from today, let people see us practice what we preach, heard or read from the bible. Hallelujah!
