Devotion: There are God given guidelines for every aspect of life including success. All one needs to do is follow the guidelines. To succeed in life God through Joshua gave the Israelites the guidelines in the verse of today. 
In the verse we understand that we must constantly read the words of God and meditate on it, because in doing so we will understand the rules of life, we will live a life of obedience and hence will not waste our resources on things that will not bring glory to God. In the Bible is written how to give and be blessed, payment of tithe and offering. In the Bible we also learn that we must work because God promises to bless the labours of our hands. In other words if you don't read it you will not understand these simple laws.
 Therefore if you want to succeed in life read the Bible, digest it and follow the instructions therein. It will be well with you here on earth and in eternity. God bless you as you start reading the words regularly.
