Title: Emulate Job!

Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

Devotion: Our Bible passage this morning is simple. It tells us what to do as children of God in all circumstances : to rejoice, to pray and to give thanks to God because that's what God demands of us. 
We are to emulate Job who despite his loss was happy, did not blame God and blessed God. When the going is in the valley we must not blame God, we must not curse the day of our birth as some will do in hardship, we must not find excuse or stop attending church services. Instead we must be joyful because the hardship of today is but for a short time. As sure as the sun will shine another good and glorious day will come especially to those who believe in Christ. 
Therefore let's rejoice in Christ, He is our source of happiness. We must also not relax in prayers because devil our adversary does not relax. In all situations, give thanks to almighty God because you make God happy when you thank Him and that's the only thing God demands from you and me. Devotional: Late music legend – Peter Tosh sang a song with this title many years ago. It came to mind yesterday while I listened to a beautifully delivered sermon at a burial.
