Title: Let us Love one Another.

 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.

Devotion: The four letters word LOVE, is a miracle word that has the power to change the world. Wherever Love is there is Peace. Its absence leads to strife, mistrust, unhappiness and all forms of stress.
 It is the absence of love that causes war between Nations, one people hates the other and covets the resources of the weaker country. The stronger country oppresses the weaker because there is no love. 
Where love is absent God is not there because God is Love (1John 4:8). Therefore one can safely say Nations without love are ungodly and always at war with someone. Its people kill themselves daily. The same can be extrapolated to family level.
 A loving family is peaceful, lives together, no divorce, enjoys goodness of God, always assisting the weak amongst them. There's no strife, no envy, none covets the others' property or success. A loving family almost always is comfortable, happy and confident of tomorrow (2John 1:3).
  A family bereft of Love has no God, it is disjointed, the children and even the parents may be into drugs and alcohol. Different types of vices are not uncommon in such families.
  Today Jesus has given you and me the opportunity to restore our lives, families and communities to the way of Peace through LOVE. The only way to do this is allow God into our lives (Rev3:20). Once God is with you, love becomes you and you become Love. Your life will assume a new dimension. Let us remember this is not a matter of choice, no, it is a commandment and you and me are obligated to LOVE one another (1John 5:3).

Devotional: Late music legend – Peter Tosh sang a song with this title many years ago. It came to mind yesterday while I listened to a beautifully delivered sermon at a burial. I therefore penned this devotional on same title. Do not be deceived, at a point in your life you’ll fly away.   There comes a day when the tapestry of your earthly existence is folded.
