Title: Want Joy? No half Measures.

Devotion: The foundation of joy, true joy on earth is God because one cannot actually enjoy any form of happiness in life without Christ.(Psalm 119 : 2) God is the creator of the universe He certainly knows what is best for each one of us and will readily give us when we ask Him for it. 
  Following God's guidance and direction for our lives will lead to fulfilled life, which is why the writer of psalms in 119:2-3 says "Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart. They also do no iniquity: they walk in his ways." The word keep his testimonies here means explore, find knowledge, read the word of God. If you read the word of God you will understand the precepts of God and not go against it. Therefore you will live a fulfilled life.
  To read the word of God and benefit from it you must have a relationship with God by accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour. This is the foundation of relationship with God, then Holy Spirit will take over the guidance of your life and lead you to truly fulfilled life. A fulfilled life does not mean wealth as the worldly knows it, but rich, contended, happy and joyful life that has hope of eternity.
  Dear reader what's you source of joy? Is it money, properties accumulated over time? These shall all pass away even while you're still here, I urge you today to get  knowledge from God and establish robust relationship with Him, your source of joy and happiness. Devotional: Late music legend – Peter Tosh sang a song with this title many years ago. It came to mind yesterday while I listened to a beautifully delivered sermon at a burial.
