Title: Be the Voice of Righteousness.
Scripture focus: "The voice of one crying in the wilderness: 'Prepare the way of the Lord; make His paths straight.'" (Matthew 3:3)
Reflection: In every generation, God looks for men and women who will stand for truth, even when the world chooses compromise. Today, we live in a time when dishonesty, injustice, immorality, and selfishness are often celebrated. Yet, as Christians, we are called to be the voice of righteousness in a crooked and corrupt world.
John the Baptist was not afraid to speak God's truth. Though his message was unpopular, he faithfully called people to repentance and prepared the way for Christ. Likewise, Noah stood for righteousness in a generation filled with wickedness. While the people around him mocked God's warning, Noah remained faithful and obedient (Genesis 6:9).
God has not called us to blend in with the world but to shine as lights in it. The Apostle Paul reminds believers to be "blameless and innocent, children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation. Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky" (Philippians 2:15). Our words, actions, and lifestyle should point others to Christ and reflect His holiness.
Being a voice of righteousness may sometimes bring opposition, criticism, or loneliness. However, we must remember that our responsibility is not to please people but to honour God. When we boldly speak the truth in love and live lives worthy of the Gospel, God can use our witness to draw others to Himself.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, help me to stand for righteousness in a world that often rejects Your truth. Give me the courage of John the Baptist and the faithfulness of Noah. Let my life and words point others to Jesus, and may I never be ashamed to speak for what is right. In Jesus' name, Amen.
