Title: Be Wary of Praise Singers.

took branches of palm trees, and went forth to meet him, and cried, Hosanna: Blessed is the King of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord. John 12:13 KJV.
Devotion: They hailed Jesus, sang His praises called Him king etc. A few days later they persecuted Jesus and delivered Him to the jailer while  they preferred a bandit to be released.(John 18:40)
  The situation is not different in the present day when bandits, rebels and even known thieves are recognized by the governments and kings. They are elected into offices, given chieftancy titles etc while decent people are sneered at, rejected at elections and unrecognized.
 We, disciples of Jesus Christ should be wary of the people who sing our praises and gossip behind us. We must not be found wanting in any situation and must not seek after human praises. Human praises are a trap and will lead to sinful acts.

Devotional: Late music legend – Peter Tosh sang a song with this title many years ago. It came to mind yesterday while I listened to a beautifully delivered sermon at a burial. I therefore penned this devotional on same title. Do not be deceived, at a point in your life you’ll fly away.   There comes a day when the tapestry of your earthly existence is folded.
