Title: Who is Your Shield?

But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; My glory, and the lifter up of mine head. Psalm 3:3 KJV
Devotion: To who do you, do I run when all seems to be closing in on us? David was in dire strait, his son Absalom rose against him and wanted to take his father's (David's) throne. David did not seek help from anyone but he ran to God because he knew God was his shield and protector. David knew God will protect him from fiery darts fired by Absalom.
David was in shame that his own son rose against him but believed that God would lift up his head and take away his shame. He called God "My glory, and the lifter up of mine head". Who do you call good in such situations?
I will counsel that we take cue from David when the walls seem to collapse on us and God will save us just as He saved David.
Please share your testimony with us. Hallelujah. I am your friend Dr Joel Olanrewaju visit my page at ojaysjoel.blogspot.com for more devotionals. Shalom.
