Title: Abound to Every Good Work.
And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work: 2 Corinthians 9:8 KJV

Devotion: In Luke 6:38 it was well explained by Jesus that when we give it will return to us in good measure, shaken and pressed down. We also know that every good thing we have is a gift from God (James 1 vs17) and we don't really own anything but we have everything in trust for God because He actually gives us so that we can be a source of blessing to others.
These others will use what they need and should pass the rest to some other people. So when we pray to God for blessings we must have it mind what God really wants us to do with what we receive from Him. In the passage of today Paul further explained to us that God gives us sufficient enough to abound unto every good work, the emphasis is good work. Examples of good work are - to give to less privileged, orphans, disabled who cannot earn living, tithe etc. We must not wait until we are compelled which after if we give has no benefit to us. In vs 6-7 Paul said God loves a cheerful giver, so if you give grudgingly it has no benefit.
Some people contribute to wars of oppression and to people who uses such monies for evil purposes that will not glorify God, such giving has no blessing. Some people hoard their wealth and at the end they will lose all when they die. They keep fleet of very expensive cars at home instead of using the money to create jobs that will benefit others.
Some persons do not donate to charity at the end they lose everything because nobody comes to earth with anything, when we leave we go empty handed. This is what we must always remember that if we have to leave now what will we go with - nothing but good name if we work for it. Dearly beloved why not work for God name now, give and you shall be given increased measure. Stay blessed in Jesus name.
