Title: It will not return empty!
so shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. Isaiah 55:11 KJV

Devotion: In the Bible we read several promises of God and all of them was accomplished at the set time. From Genesis, God said let there be light, there was light, God declared times and seasons after the flood and we have it. He said Sarah shall be with a child it was fulfilled according to God's word. There are many more in the Bible.
The word of God to me through the prophet when I was a child was you will attend University with scholarship and I did, that I'll go to the land of white men and white men will work for me came through. There are many more that has been accomplished and many more in the pipeline to manifest soon.
I don't know what word God sent to you, just reflect over it, list them and tick the ones already fulfilled and anxiously expect others. If the word is truly from God he will accomplish purpose for which it was sent. Nobody can stop it, it may delay but it must be accomplished. Elizabeth's promise was delayed yet it was accomplished and the reason it was delayed was Jesus. John must be a forerunner to Jesus.
Dearly beloved, if you're waiting long for the word to be accomplished know that there was a reason and God knows why, do not grumble, the time is here. You'll fulfill purpose in Jesus name. Hallelujah. Share your testimony here.
