Title: The Day of the Lord!

Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand;
Joel 2:1 KJV

Devotion: The Day of the Lord is a special day that bring condemnation to evil and peace and joy to the righteous. When Israel was delivered from bondage in Egypt and Pharaoh perished in the sea it was the day of the Lord.
 Israel was taken into captivity in Babylon when the King released them and they came home. Ezra read the book of history to the Israelites and they confessed and mourned for their sin it was another day of the Lord. Sin was defeated.
They soon lapsed into sin and continued in it. When Jesus Christ the messiah was born it was the day of the Lord, he suffered death of the cross so that all who believe in him will not be guilty but will be saved. He defeated death and evil was put to shame. His resurrection and ascension to heaven is another day of the Lord because it shows that He is the true messiah, the saviour of mankind from Satan the father of lies.
 When Jesus shall return to judge the world and deliver His own finally from death, evil and Satan will be the final day of the Lord. As I wrote above, this day of the Lord brings death and judgement on evil doers but to the children of God the day brings deliverance, peace and everlasting life with Christ.
 Dearly beloved, the choice is yours, is mine to choose between certain death and eternal damnation or life and eternal joy with Christ. I urge you reader to start preparing for the of the Lord today as tomorrow might be too late for he says in 2 Cor 6:2 that today is the appointed day of salvation. I blow the trumpet to you do not wait till tomorrow. Be ready! Have a blessed day in Jesus name amen. Hallelujah.
