Title: The Sin of the Tongue!

I said, I will take heed to my ways, that I sin not with my tongue: I will keep my mouth with a bridle, while the wicked is before me. Psalms 39:1 KJV

The enemy uses people to cause your tongue to sin. When you don’t watch your emotions, the thoughts run around in your head, and you don’t rein in your tongue when you are faced with a challenging person. It’s easy to lash out in anger and say things that shouldn’t be said or words that can’t be undone. That is why we are told to be quick to hear and slow to speak (James 1:19).
Beloved, it is wise to imitate what King David did when he was with a wicked person. He watched over his ways and made sure his tongue was kept sealed so that he wouldn't sin. You know which people are the ones the enemy is using against you to tempt you and trigger you. Keep watch on your ways when they approach you, put on the whole armor of God, and bridle your tongue. You are an overcomer!
Prayer point: Abba Father, thank You for Your guiding words and wisdom that keep me from sinning against You. As I watch over my inner thoughts and emotions and bridle my tongue whenever I am with difficult people, thank You for Your Holy Spirit, Who produces the fruit of self-control in me. May my words and the meditations of my heart always please You (Psalm 19:14) in Jesus’ name. Amen.
