Title: Come to Life!
Devotional for July 1, 2025
John 1:4 — “In him was life; and the life was the light of men.”
Reflecting on the Journey
As we welcome the month of July, we mark the beginning of the second half of the year. Six months have flown by—what have they meant for you?
- Have your goals been met?
- Have you grown spiritually?
- Are you thriving, or merely surviving?
If your answer leaves you disheartened, you're not alone. Many strive in their own strength and end up weary. But today’s Word reminds us: Life—true life—is only found in Jesus.
What Might Be Holding You Back?
- Are you trying but failing in your own effort?
- Have you experienced delays, disappointments, or shut doors?
- Do you feel spiritually dry or distant from God?
Then hear this: Come to Jesus. He is Life itself.
Devotional Exhortation
Jesus doesn’t simply give life—He IS Life. Everything you're seeking—peace, purpose, breakthrough—is wrapped in a relationship with Him. Without Him, it’s like drawing water with broken buckets (Haggai 1:6). With Him, “rivers of living water” will flow from your heart (John 7:38).
Bible Anchors & Stories of Resurrection
- The Woman with the Issue of Blood (Mark 5:25–34)
She tried everything—until she touched Jesus. One touch brought healing and hope.
- The Valley of Dry Bones (Ezekiel 37:1–14)
A lifeless graveyard became a mighty army. God can breathe life into your “dead” seasons.
- Lazarus Raised from the Dead (John 11)
Even when it seems too late, God’s timing is perfect. Jesus brings what’s buried back to life.
A Call to Action
Let this be more than just another new month—let it be your turning point.
Isaiah 40:29 – “He gives power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.”
Release the weight of striving. Come to the Source. Let Jesus light up your life.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, I surrender the past six months into Your hands. Revive me. Restore my hope. Be my life and my light. I trust You to write the rest of 2025 with grace, growth, and testimonies. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Final Encouragement
This is not the end of your story—it’s the page where things begin to turn. Watch God bring it all to life.
