Title: Seek Wealth Legally.
Scripture: "Like the partridge that hatches eggs it did not lay, so is the one who gains wealth unjustly; in the midst of his days it will leave him, and in the end he will be a fool." — Jeremiah 17:11 (ESV)
Reflection:
The pursuit of wealth is not in itself wrong—many figures in the Bible were blessed with riches and influence. But the means of acquiring it matter deeply to God. Jeremiah paints a vivid picture: someone who amasses wealth dishonestly is like a bird brooding over stolen eggs—eventually, it’s all lost, and shame takes its place.
Unjust gain is a fragile foundation. Whether it’s cheating in business, manipulating people, or living off exploitation, it comes with a cost: lost peace, broken integrity, and eventual ruin. Wealth gained without righteousness might sparkle on the outside, but it corrodes the soul from within.
Takeaway:
True prosperity is built not just on effort, but on ethics. God honors diligence, creativity, and faithful stewardship—but He also demands justice, honesty, and compassion in our dealings. Seek wealth with clean hands and a clear conscience, and God will bless your storehouse in ways beyond what money alone can offer.
Prayer:
Lord, help me to pursue success with integrity. May I never be tempted to cut corners or compromise my character for temporary gain. Teach me to honor You in how I earn, save, give, and live. Bless the work of my hands, and make me a channel of Your generosity. Amen.
