Title: Rejoice in your Works while you still have Time.

Scripture focus: Wherefore I perceive that there is nothing better, than that a man should rejoice in his own works; for that is his portion: for who shall bring him to see what shall be after him?
Ecclesiastes 3:22  KJV

Reflection
In a world that constantly pushes us toward the next milestone, it is easy to view our daily work as merely a stepping stone toward a distant future. We tell ourselves, "I’ll be happy when I get that promotion," or "I’ll relax once this season passes." Yet, Solomon’s wisdom in Ecclesiastes offers a gentle and sobering wake-up call: today is the portion God has given you.
The Scripture reminds us that we cannot peek into the future, nor can we control what happens after our time on earth is done. God has intentionally veiled tomorrow to teach us how to live fully today. Your current labor—whether it is building a business, caring for your family, studying, or serving in your community—is not an accident or a delay. It is your God-given assignment for this season.
To "rejoice in your own works" does not mean expecting perfection or freedom from stress. Rather, it means shifting your perspective to see your daily efforts through God's eyes. When you offer your labor back to God as an act of worship, even mundane tasks carry eternal significance. Finding joy in your work is an act of gratitude—a way of honoring the breath, strength, and opportunity God has granted you right now.
Key Takeaway
Don't postpone joy for a future that isn't guaranteed. God has placed work in your hands today so you can experience His goodness in the middle of it.
Prayer
Lord, thank You for the breath in my lungs and the work You have entrusted to my hands today. Forgive me for the times I take this season for granted or focus so much on tomorrow that I miss Your grace today. Help me to find true joy and purpose in what I am doing right now. May my daily work honor You and serve as a reflection of Your faithfulness. In Jesus' name, Amen.
