Title : Author and Finisher

"Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:2"
Devotion : The believer in Christ Jesus has a role model to look up to; in fact, not just a role model, but a God model. Jesus is a good example as He never said anything without being the first to do it. When he said he loved us, he proved it by dying on the cross for us and when he said he was the resurrection and the life, he proved it by his resurrection from the dead. He commences our faith and ends it: He was tested at all points and was yet without sin. He knows all our infirmities and is prepared to see us walk with Him all the way, through our faith. Dear reader, do you need someone to depend upon? Look no further - look to Jesus Christ, the author and finisher of our faith. Share your thoughts here!

Title: When your time shall be over, you'll fly away.

Psalms 90:10  The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away. Devotional: Late music legend – Peter Tosh sang a song with this title many years ago. It came to mind yesterday while I listened to a beautifully delivered sermon at a burial. I therefore penned this devotional on same title. Do not be deceived, at a point in your life you’ll fly away.   There comes a day when the tapestry of your earthly existence is folded. The moments of struggle, joy, triumph, and trials will all coalesce into a story complete. When that time comes, the soul, unburdened by the weight of the mortal frame, ascends beyond the veil of this world—taking flight toward eternal rest.   You are not bound to the temporal; your essence is celestial.
