Title : His Stripes brings healing

"Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. 1 Peter 2:24"
Devotion : The only person who is dead to sin is the Christian who is truly born again. The unbeliever is predisposed to sin and cannot control it. In fact, he is a sinner. However, the Christian lives unto righteousness; that is, he has right standing with God and the ability to do righteousness. In other words, he has the ability to know what God wants and does what pleases God. Healing has been eternally paid for us and any time we feel weak, let us declare this very scripture to secure our healing. Eternal healing was committed to us on the cross, and that is why the apostle Peter used the past perfect tense: truly we were healed, amen. Share your comments here!

Psalms 90:10  The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away. Devotional: Late music legend – Peter Tosh sang a song with this title many years ago. It came to mind yesterday while I listened to a beautifully delivered sermon at a burial. I therefore penned this devotional on same title. Do not be deceived, at a point in your life you’ll fly away.   There comes a day when the tapestry of your earthly existence is folded.
