Title : First things first

"I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. Psalm 16:8"
Devotion : It is our decision and an honor to put the LORD first in our life; when we put Him first, we set ourselves up for continual victory. We know we are saved by grace through faith and as a result we get to do things. We get to love God, we get to love ourselves, and we get to love our neighbors as we love ourselves. He will not allow us to be moved, let alone be defeated. Have you put Him first?

Psalms 90:10  The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away. Devotional: Late music legend – Peter Tosh sang a song with this title many years ago. It came to mind yesterday while I listened to a beautifully delivered sermon at a burial. I therefore penned this devotional on same title. Do not be deceived, at a point in your life you’ll fly away.   There comes a day when the tapestry of your earthly existence is folded. The moments of struggle, joy, triumph, and trials will all coalesce into a story complete. When that time comes, the soul, unburdened by the weight of the mortal frame, ascends beyond the veil of this world—taking flight toward eternal rest.   You are not bound to the temporal; your essence is celestial.
