Title : Rest in the Lord

"There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. Hebrews 4:9"
Devotion : God has assured us that there remains a rest for the people of God. This is an encouragement to the people of God who are struggling and suffering for the sake of Christ and the kingdom. It is a promise and it will definitely be fulfilled in the fullness of time, so don't look back,  continue in the work of God according to the gift God had given you. 
Remember the word which Moses the servant of the LORD commanded you, saying, The LORD your God hath given you rest, and hath given you this land. Joshua 1:13
There is a place of peace in Christ where those struggles and suffering will come to an end, for them to enjoy the rest of God. Dear reader, are you enjoying the rest of God? 
Do not think it's only in heaven you will have rest here on earth and continue to enjoy rest when the Lord shall come.

Psalms 90:10  The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away. Devotional: Late music legend – Peter Tosh sang a song with this title many years ago. It came to mind yesterday while I listened to a beautifully delivered sermon at a burial. I therefore penned this devotional on same title. Do not be deceived, at a point in your life you’ll fly away.   There comes a day when the tapestry of your earthly existence is folded. The moments of struggle, joy, triumph, and trials will all coalesce into a story complete.
