Title : Far from the wicked

"The LORD is far from the wicked: but he heareth the prayer of the righteous. Proverbs 15:29" Devotion : The wicked represents any person who does not have the fear of God (a sinner,  a disobedient).     The wicked gives no respect to God and His Word. He or she lives to please himself or herself. If the wicked dare to pray they will pray to devils and demons. Due to the character of the wicked God is far from them.    On the contrary God is closer to the righteous and hears their prayers. The righteous are those who are born again; those who have respect for the Word of God and have believed the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.     God has given man to  choose either to be righteous or wicked. Won't you rather chose obedience than disobedience? The ball is in your court.  Share your views with us Send your prayer request too. http://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=kjvstudybible.bible.kjv.bibleverses.bibleoffline

Title : Chose prayerfully.

"It is better to dwell in the corner of the housetop, than with a brawling woman/man and in a wide house. Proverbs 25:24" Devotion : People who are single desiring to get married must desire to live a peaceful, joyous life with a partner prayerfully chosen. There's no short route to fulfilled life than to have a lovely family. Only God can make it happen, that's why you must go on your knees and tell God to reveal your flesh of flesh and bone of bone to you. The God pattern can be found in Genesis 24: 12-14 (please read the whole chapter).   The opening scripture explains that we marry "to be happy", but marriage could be our worst nightmare if we marry the wrong person and one will say it would have been better to enjoy singleness in the rooftop room than live miserably with a quarrelsome  and noisy partner in a big mansion.   Let us seek the guidance of God when choosing a life partner.   Dear reader, are you single or married? Meanwhile enjoy your s...

Title : Contentious Person

"It is better to dwell in the wilderness, than with a contentious and an angry woman. Proverbs 21:19" Devotion : This scripture gives a guideline to unmarried men and women who want to get married so they could choose carefully.   A wilderness is a desert, a place of loneliness, drought, and scarcity. A contentious and angry man/woman is a kind who delights in arguing, quarrelling, fighting, and anger.    A single person would prefer the wilderness to contentious and angry man/woman. It is just simple logic that everyone will choose peace over war.     Dear reader, are you single? Then this scripture is a guide for you to choose carefully. Title : Learning to save

"There is treasure to be desired and oil in the dwelling of the wise; but a foolish man spendeth it up. Proverbs 21:20" Devotion : The scripture above gives a distinction between the wise and the fool; it gives one quality of the wise which the fool despises. This quality is the ability to save. The wise has a consistent habit of saving a portion of what he earns but the fool has a habit of spending everything he earns. Even when the fool is bequeathed with treasures he squanders it even to the extent of squandering what is not his. Dear reader, do you save part of your earnings and do you give to the needy? What percentage of your income do you save? A simple approach is to save minimum of 15% of your income. No matter how small your income is, pay tithe first then save 15% before you spend the rest. Do not plan to save remnant it will not be enough. Let's have your opinion and send your prayer request to this page. Stay blessed. http://play.google.com/store/apps/details...

Title : Knowledge

"The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction. Proverbs 1:7" Devotion : This scripture makes us understand that the fear of God is knowledge. This fear is not because God is evil, NO, but because we know what He can do and undo. An example when we were children we were afraid of our parents not because they will harm us but because they loved us and we don't want to offend them. Same here God loves us even before we know Him, it is only proper that we fear(REVERE) HIM. To reverence Him we must know Him by accepting His free gift of Jesus Christ into our lives as Our Lord and Saviour. This is the beginning of knowledge and it of utmost importance to successful Christian life. Before any person would fear God or give God reverence, he might have had a prior knowledge of Him through the word of God. We therefore need to attend fellowship with other children of God.   This knowledge a person receives from God leads to the wisdom...

Title : Training a Child

"Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6" Devotion : Children are the heritage of God and the fruit of the womb is His reward, Psalms 127:3. Parents have the responsibility toward God by first of all knowing the way their children are expected to go and secondly, training them in that way.  The Word of God is the basis of that training; in other words it is the sure way to go. Parents and guardians are encouraged to know the scriptures and create the enabling environment to teach their children the scriptures.  The scriptures will direct the children in their choice toward school, career, marriage, etc.    Share your thoughts here! http://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=kjvstudybible.bible.kjv.bibleverses.bibleoffline

Title: What Kind of Peace Do You Have?

“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” John 14:27 (KJV) Beloved, there are two kinds of peace according to the words of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ: the Jesus kind of peace and the world kind of peace. Which one do you want? If you are living in the peace of Jesus Christ, your heart will not be troubled; neither will your heart be afraid. In other words, the peace of Christ Jesus heals us from anxiety and fear (Hebrews 2:15). On the other hand, those who will reject Jesus Christ have chosen the peace of the world; they should prepare to have a troubled heart and a life of fear. Dear beloved, which of the two kinds of peace will you choose? Go in for the peace of Christ Jesus and enjoy eternal peace without any limit whatsoever. Remember, the atmosphere of peace will enhance your growth, development, and prosperity. Praise the Lord! Be an overcomer! Prayer Point: Dear Lo...

Title: Guard Your Friendship!

“A froward man soweth strife: and a whisperer separateth chief friends.” Proverbs 16:28 (KJV) Beloved, the New International Version quotes the opening scripture as, “A perverse person stirs up conflict, and a gossip separates close friends.” There is something that everyone needs in this world—friendship. The kind of friends you have shows who you are and where you are going (Luke 6:12–16). Beloved, there are good friends, bad friends, close friends, distant friends, etc. Usually, friendship starts with communication, and good friendship leads to close friendship (1 Corinthians 15:33). Dear beloved, keep your good friends close to you and guard the relationship with prayer, the Word of God, and a watchful eye. Never allow perverse or deceitful men and women, or a whisperer or gossip, to destroy it. Hallelujah! God bless you! Prayer Point: My Abba Father, thank You for Your good counsel. Indeed, friendship is very essential for our progress. Please lead me to find good friends; give me...

Title: The Church Represents Christ!

“For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:” Matthew 25:35 (KJV) Beloved, the opening scripture gives various aspects of life in which believers in Christ Jesus will be tested (Psalms 11:5). Hunger, thirst, and shelter are the very essential needs of the children of God. In our daily lives, we get hungry for food, and we have to eat; we get thirsty, and we have to drink water; we feel the need to put a roof over our heads and, therefore, get shelter. God wants us to put ourselves in a good position so that we can provide food, water, and shelter for the needy in society (James 2:15–16). Beloved, there are other needs such as education, marriage, and jobs; however, food, water, clothing, and shelter come first. Dear beloved, let us pray for grace from the LORD to enable us to have resources to provide the most essential needs to the vulnerable in the church and society, and God will bless us abundantly. Amen! Pray...

Title : Vanity

"Wealth gotten by vanity shall be diminished: but he that gathereth by labour shall increase. Proverbs 13:11" Devotion : A story was told of a woman whose assets were confiscated by the state because she was dealing in narcotic drugs. This is an example of wealth gotten by vanity. God wants us to acquire wealth genuinely and as we do that He adds His increase. If we wants the peace of God in this world then we should learn to do things right. Title: Idleness

She looks well to how things go in her household, and the bread of idleness (gossip, discontent, and self-pity) she will not eat. [I Tim. 5:13; Tit. 2:5.] Proverbs 31:27   For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.2 Thessalonians 3:10  Devotion : A virtuous wife is the mistress of her home and is fully in charge of her household. She does not compromise on quality and believes that the idle hand must not eat, 2 Thessalonians 3:10.    In fact she practices leadership by example, therefore, she does not entertain idleness in her home. She demonstrates industriousness in her household for her children to emulate.  The husband too must provide for his household. Any man who fails to provide for his own house is worst than an infidel. 1Tim. 5:8.     We must therefore have a job and not rely on our virtuous wives to feed us.   I encourage us parents to demonstrate our industriousn...

Title : Favor

"Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the LORD. Proverbs 18:22" Devotion : The Favor of marriage is given to the man who finds a wife and not a woman. It is not every woman that can be a wife, therefore, the onus lies with the man to consult God to help him find a wife.           Furthermore, marriage was not created by God for everybody; that is why there are eunuchs or celibates. This favor which the man gets from God for finding a wife cannot lead to divorce but rather leads to stronger union, prosperity, peace etc.    Dear reader, are you looking forward to marriage? Ask God to guide you and be in obedience to the word of God. (Genesis ch 24: 1-end.) God bless you. Title: *God Is Ready to Listen to You!*

Preamble:  Good morning Sir/Ma, it becomes imperative for me to make this clarification that the devotional that I sent out daily is not for any ulterior motives. Not for financial gain, no plans to establish a church or ministry.  For those who do not know me physically or otherwise I AM DR OLAGBEMIDE OLOWOYO OLANREWAJU JOEL, Consultant family physician in a growing practice. NB: the *mask* is removed (I was asked to) Title: *God Is Ready to Listen to You!*  “And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.” Isaiah 65:24 (KJV) Beloved, does it not sound good to hear that God is ready to listen to you? As a child of God, never think that God, your Father, is difficult to answer your prayers. Our heavenly Father is a relational or social being; meaning that He is a God of relationship (Genesis 18:17–18, James 2:23). In heaven, He was betrayed by Lucifer and his cohorts. On earth, He was betrayed by Adam and Eve....

Title : One Standard

"Let the deacons be the husbands of one wife, ruling their children and their own houses well. 1 Timothy 3:12" Devotion : God gave the same guidelines to those who desire to be bishops, pastors, elders, evangelist or teachers in His church.   God is keeping a watchful eye on the family which is the fabric of society; when the family progresses the society progresses and vice versa.    Any Christian who is able to put his own house or home in order and in peace, can as well do the same for Christ in the church.    Dear reader, God is still appointing leaders in His kingdom; make yourself available to His appointment. http://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=kjvstudybible.bible.kjv.bibleverses.bibleoffline

Title : The Spoken Word

"These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. John 16:33" Devotion : Jesus Christ of Nazareth drew the attention of his disciples to his spoken Word. He said these things I have spoken to you, that in me you might have peace. The spoken Word lays our deliverance and peace. When we study the Word without speaking it in faith to our life, we only get knowledge, which is good in itself. However, if we want peace or deliverance the Word must move from the mind/heart to the mouth; in other words, the Word must be spoken in faith to produce solution to our challenges. After we have spoken the Word in faith, we must be of good cheer because Jesus has overcome the world; hence there is that assurance that we also have overcome the world. Dear beloved, are you going through tribulation? Apply the principle laid down by Christ in his Word. Share your comments here! http://pl...

Title: Do You Know Your True Family?

“And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren! For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.” Matthew 12:49-50 (KJV) Beloved, Jesus Christ was ministering to the people in His days when one of His disciples beckoned Him that His mother and brethren wanted to see Him. Jesus Christ did not rush to see them but made a profound statement, which is recorded in the opening scripture. Sometimes we exalt our biological family members more than people from different families (Matthew 13:55–58). Beloved, Jesus Christ wants us to know that when we talk about family in the Kingdom of God, it is those who do the will of our heavenly Father (Mark 3:33–35). Dear beloved, any time you are looking for your true family, look for people who are doing the will of God so that you will also be influenced to do the will of God and be blessed. Praise the Lord! God bless you! Prayer Point: My ...

Title : The devil is a thief

"The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. John 10:10" Devotion : The devil and his cohort of darkness have a strategy against the saints. Their nature is to steal, kill, and destroy; and the strategy they live by is to steal, kill, and destroy Christians and people who have something good to offer humanity.     The devil is responsible for putting all manner of courses in schools to misdirect Christians and people thereby stealing their dreams; this accounts for all sorts of unemployment in the society. The devil is a murderer and if he does not succeed he tries to kill your dream, vision, and aspiration. He has destroyed many lives through sicknesses, diseases, death, drugs etc.     Jesus Christ came to give life to our dreams, visions, aspirations and make our life more meaningful. When Jesus comes into your life your life will never remain the sa...

Title : Believing Lifestyle

"Then saith he to Thomas, reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing. John 20:27" Devotion : Jesus Christ of Nazareth has designed a lifestyle for Christians: this is a lifestyle of continual believing in the Word of God and the work of God. The apostle Thomas was a man who lived by the principle of the world: the principle which states that seeing is believing. However when he encountered Jesus Christ after his resurrection, he learned to adopt a new principle from Jesus Christ. Jesus taught him that in order to see or materialize the Word of God he must first believe; hence, believing is seeing. This principle is also designed for us today to live by. We must live a life of continually believing in the Word of God and the work of God if we want to enjoy all the promises of God pertaining to our life. Dear beloved, what Christian principles do you live by? Share your thoughts here! ...

Title: The Joy of Baptism

“Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead. And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;” Colossians 2:12-13 (KJV) Beloved, the kind of baptism you have determines your identity with Christ. There are many kinds of baptism but the only one accepted by God is the one Jesus Christ went through (Matthew 3:15–17). Jesus Christ was immersed in water. Now, when you become born again you are baptized; this has a spiritual significance. When you are immersed in the water, your whole body is buried in the water, showing that you are buried with Christ. When you are raised from the water, you are identified with the resurrection of Christ Jesus into a new life (Romans 6:3–6). Beloved, baptism is a great experience for every believer in Christ Jesus, and you must not deny yourself this physical and spir...

Title: Let It Not Be Strange to You.

“Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.” 1 Peter 4:12–13 (KJV) Beloved, the way you see Christianity has an impact on your disposition in Christ. Apostle Peter wants us to know that Christianity is not always rosy and cozy. There are challenges, which he called the fiery trial, that will try your faith. Are you ready for your fiery trial? It is better to be conscious of such a trial so that when it comes, you can maintain a good disposition in it. Never think it is strange because the apostles went through it; they actually died for their faith in Christ (Acts 12:1–2). Beloved, you might be going through many trials as you read this gospel article; try as much as possible to rejoice in the trials (Philippians 4:4). It is the only disposition that will l...

Title : Overflowing Miracle

"When they were filled, he said unto his disciples, Gather up the fragments that remain, that nothing be lost. John 6:12" Devotion : Jesus Christ fed more than five thousand people with five loaves of bread and two fish from a boy's lunch. After they were all satisfied He asked his disciples to gather the surplus.     Why do you think He gathered the surplus? Firstly, He wanted those who were witnesses to the miracle to see God's overflowing provision. Secondly, He was teaching the people to save in the period of abundance. Thirdly, He taught them to refrain from wasting resources.              Finally, He wanted to give the boy who gave up his lunch the surplus to teach the people that whoever gives to Christ receives plenty in return. http://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=kjvstudybible.bible.kjv.bibleverses.bibleoffline

Title: *The Mystery of Our Relationship with God!*

“At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.” John 14:20 (KJV) Beloved, the kind of relationship you have will determine how successful you will be. Jesus Christ is the truth; He never misses any opportunity to tell us the truth (John 14:6). Those who are born again have a special relationship with God and the Lord Jesus Christ. The relationship is that Jesus Christ is in the Father, and Christians are in Jesus Christ and Jesus Christ in Christians.    Beloved, if you are born again, believe that you are in Christ Jesus and Jesus Christ is in you and Jesus Christ is in the Father. This is a triune relationship, and it is a mystery. The carnal mind will not be able to comprehend it. Meditate on this truth and you will understand it. It means, therefore, that you are in a safe place; you are protected from evil and bound to succeed and triumph in any situation (John 16:33). Hallelujah! Glory to the Highest!    Prayer Point: My dear Lor...

Title : Strongest Love

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16" Devotion : It is said that action speaks louder than words, therefore, God needed to do something to show that He loved the world. Even though mankind was a sinner God still loved His image and sent Jesus, the only begotten Son, to die for man. Jesus is the God man; that is, He is fully God and fully man. It is the greatest miracle on earth; for God to become man to save mankind. The work has already been done by God. What man needs to do is to believe in the finished work and partake in it. Anyone who does not believe condemns themselves to eternal damnation in the lake of fire. Believing in the work God has done for us is a sign that we love Him in return. Dear reader, how strong is your love for God? Share your comments here! http://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=kjvstudybible.bible.kjv.bibleverses.bibleoffline

Title: Don’t Feel Ashamed of Your Christianity!

“Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.” 1 Peter 4:16 (KJV) Beloved, the truth you know makes you free. Christianity is a life of truth. Thus, Jesus Christ said the servant is not greater than his Lord. If they have insulted Him and called Him all manner of unfriendly names, we will also suffer the same (John 15:20, Matthew 10:24–26). Christianity is not a life of the world, so the world will hate you and do all manner of things against you. But don’t be ashamed of who you are—this makes you a servant of our Lord Jesus Christ; therefore, glorify God for sharing in the suffering of Christ. Beloved, when you carry with you the atmosphere of always rejoicing in Christ irrespective of what the world is doing to you, God will glorify His name in you (Philippians 4:4, Acts 16:25–26). He will always promote you and cause His countenance to shine on you for the world to see the nature of Christ in you. Beloved, many who see you wil...

Title: Think About Your New Nature!

“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” 2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV) Beloved, you become what you meditate upon; that is why as a child of God you should be mindful of what you allow into your mind. When you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Personal Savior, you become a new creation; you are born anew into the family of God (Hebrews 12:22–24). All the old things in your life are passed away; your old nature of sin and the previous moral and spiritual condition have passed away. Beloved, if you were a thief, liar, prostitute, fornicator, adulterer, etc., this is all passed away. God has now opened a new chapter in your life. All things are now new in your life; you now have a new nature of righteousness, holiness, eternal life, peace, and prosperity (1 Corinthians 1:30). Beloved, meditate on your new nature and the inheritance you have in Christ, and your life will be full of glory and peace. Hallelujah! ...

Title: Thus Says the Lord of Hosts!

Good morning Sir/Ma, sorry this page comes late today. Stay blessed. “Thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, unto all that are carried away captives, whom I have caused to be carried away from Jerusalem unto Babylon; Build ye houses, and dwell in them; and plant gardens, and eat the fruit of them; Take ye wives, and beget sons and daughters; and take wives for your sons, and give your daughters to husbands, that they may bear sons and daughters; that ye may be increased there, and not diminished.” Jeremiah 29:4-6 (KJV) Beloved, there is time for everything under the sun; if you have gone through many afflictions as a child of God, it is time for all the afflictions to come to an end (Psalms 34:19). The opening scripture has good news for you; it says God will give you the grace to build your own house and dwell in it. You will plant your own gardens and eat the fruit of them. Your career or business will flourish for you to enjoy. You will marry and have sons and daughters fo...

Title : Keys

"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6" Devotion : There are three main keys: way, truth, and life. Everyone is calling on God but there is a way to do it, Jesus Christ is that way. Many religious folks claim they have the truth to God but Jesus Christ is the truth. Many think life is all about the natural life but Jesus is the life beyond this present world. Choose Jesus and you would have these three most priceless keys in life. Kindly share your thoughts with us! http://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=kjvstudybible.bible.kjv.bibleverses.bibleoffline

Title: May Your Understanding Be Enlightened!

“The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,” Ephesians 1:18 (KJV) Apostle Paul in his walk with the Lord had a good understanding in divine truth. He realized that what his converts lacked was understanding; therefore, he prayed for them (James 1:5–6). This prayer goes for you and me; may the eyes of our understanding be enlightened so that we may know the hope of God’s calling upon our lives. May we also know the riches of the glory of His inheritance in us, amen. Beloved, if we know and understand these things, our walk with the Lord will be easy and devoid of unnecessary struggles. Dear beloved, continually pray the opening scripture until you have received this divine understanding because it is the key to your spiritual growth in Christ. When you understand your calling and the inheritance you have in Jesus Christ, you will begin to live a mature Christian li...

Title: *God Has You on His Mind!*

Good morning, this month the Lord keep and protect you and give you grace to enjoy perfect health in Jesus name.  Remember -   *God Has You on His Mind!*  “For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.” Hebrew 6:10 (KJV) Knowing that God has you on His mind puts all anxiety to rest. Beloved, all children of God are encouraged to work for God (Ephesians 2:10). Even though the children of God are expected to work for God, it is also true that not every child of God is working for the Lord. There is the tendency for some of those who are working for the Lord to think that God has forgotten them, especially when there is a delay in the fulfillment of God’s promises in their life. Beloved, if you are in that situation, meditate on the opening scripture and trust in the LORD. Beloved, God cannot forget your work and labor of love for Him (Isaiah 49:15–16). ...
