Title : Vanity

"Wealth gotten by vanity shall be diminished: but he that gathereth by labour shall increase. Proverbs 13:11"
Devotion : A story was told of a woman whose assets were confiscated by the state because she was dealing in narcotic drugs. This is an example of wealth gotten by vanity. God wants us to acquire wealth genuinely and as we do that He adds His increase. If we wants the peace of God in this world then we should learn to do things right. Psalms 90:10  The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away. Devotional: Late music legend – Peter Tosh sang a song with this title many years ago. It came to mind yesterday while I listened to a beautifully delivered sermon at a burial. I therefore penned this devotional on same title. Do not be deceived, at a point in your life you’ll fly away.   There comes a day when the tapestry of your earthly existence is folded. The moments of struggle, joy, triumph, and trials will all coalesce into a story complete.
