Title: Emmanuel - God with us.

Isaiah 43:1-4 But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.

When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.

For I am the LORD thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour: I gave Egypt for thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee.

Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee: therefore will I give men for thee, and people for thy life.

Devotion: We are in year 2023, I want to assure you that God is with you. Carefully read the verses above and be assured that you have a loving, caring and protecting God. 

Please note that God did not say there will not be problem but God will not allow it to overwhelm you. No matter the situation - a valley, in fire or a long night, God is right there beside you. Emmanuel (Matt 1:23) is there during that hardship all you need to do is believe and you will be delivered as He promised that He will lift you with His righteous right hand. (Isaiah 41:10)

 Jesus promised to be with you, He says lo, I will be with you till ... (Matt 28: 20). That's the fulfilled when the Holy Spirit descended from heaven on the apostles (Acts 2:3-4) including you and me when we give our lives to God.

Happy new year to you all, I wish you a prosperous, healthy and joyful year. Go out and be fulfilled, do exploits for Christ this year.
