Title: Is your Light Shining?

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Devotion: This verse is from sermon on the mount by Jesus Christ, here He taught the apostles and teaches you and me to live our lives in such a way that God will be honoured in our lives. What does this translate into? It means we must live such a Christ like life (Acts 11:26) so that when strangers meet us they'll see a totally different person from the worldly person they are used to. Your friends must notice the difference in you from the friend they know before. Members must see the difference in your character and praise God for you.
 About a month ago I gave a young man lift in my car. As we were discussing he said "Sir, you must be a pastor", I ask why and his response was "your talk and act gave you out". I told him I'm an ordinary man working for God. He said people like me are rare to come by; I don't know what he found in me but I praise God that somebody met Me and saw Christ in me.
 Dear reader, if somebody has not called you a pastor or a born again Christian or say that this is one of the churchy people then you have to re-examine your position as a Christian. You have to ask yourself am I a real Christian, does my life portray me as a Christian. If not there is need to quickly go on your knees and begin to pray to God for forgiveness of sins and for God to re-admit you into his vineyard.
