Title: Do Not Worry!

Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
Matthew 6:25 KJV

Devotion: The verse above from one of the teachings of Christ on the mountain is apt for today's lifestyle where every thought is about accumulation of wealth and gadgets. The physical wealth- properties, vehicles, electronics that we possess are highly valued by some people to the extent that they can do practically anything including killing others to acquire these ephemeral things.
Most people believe the properties belong to them, that they own them whereas they don't. All that we possess are lent out to us by God and when the time comes, God will repossess them and we will return to God or otherwise empty just as we came. So I wonder why the primitive accumulation, why acquire wealth by fire by force when we will leave everything behind.
Our God is the ultimate provider of each of our possession for everyone and He gives as He wishes. You can work hard and yet have little while another can work little and be richly blessed.
Does that mean we should not work? No, we have to work and be prudent, diligent and be ready to give out to the less privileged. We are blessed to be a blessing to some other people just as someone is our source of blessing. While doing these we do not need to worry because the ultimate provider will provide, it is a promise that God shall supply all our needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus (Phil 4 vs 19).
The other instruction is also in that chapter at Matt 6 : 33 to first seek the kingdom of God and it's righteousness then all other things that the world seek will be added to us. This means if we do the things of God, God will himself bless us even beyond imagination because He does not want us to lack anything good.
Dear reader I urge you to put God first while doing your job or carrying out your business this week. Be a source of blessing to the needy besides you and your testimony will abound in riches in Jesus' name. Do remember to share your testimony with us. Shalom hallelujah.
