Title: Hold Fast your Faith.

Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)

Devotion: Hallelujah, you have confessed that Jesus is Christ the son of God and you have given your life to Him. Now circumstances do come when your faith is tried to the point of death and you have option to deny your faith in Christ and be saved or be faithful and die. Few years ago there was a video clip of christians being slaughtered like ram. They refused to deny their faith. There was argument that they should have denied and be alive but that is for another day. 

  Let's focus on the three Hebrew children Meshach, Shadrach and Abednego who stayed faithful to the end and God delivered them. God made true His promise to never leave us nor forsake us in the situation. 

There are many other instances God promised us and fulfilled the promise. He said he will send the Messiah Christ and he did, Christ promised us Holy Spirit and did. You also have individual promises fulfilled in your life to. 

But there will also be some promises that will be fulfilled not in our lifetime but in eternity, after we are long gone but it does not mean God is not faithful to make true His promise. God promised Abraham that he will be father of many nations and his children like the beach sand. This only happened after he was long gone; in our lives, we will have similar promises yet God is faithful; we must hold fast to our Faith in God. 

 Human being can promise and due to circumstances beyond him or her may not be able to fulfill the promise but not with God. So let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;). Let us not waver like sea weeds that is tossed about (James 1 vs 6). We should develop a robust relationship with God through Christ and meditate on His word daily and communicate with God in prayers regularly. These will help to maintain our Faith in God. Life of total obedience will help our faith also and the promises of God will be fulfilled in our lives both here and in eternity.
