Title: The Power of Testimonies.

Scripture focus: And she said, Oh my lord, as thy soul liveth, my lord, I am the woman that stood by thee here, praying unto the LORD.
For this child I prayed; and the LORD hath given me my petition which I asked of him: 1 Samuel 1:26-27 KJV

A testimony is more than just a story — it is a declaration of God’s faithfulness, a witness to His power, and a reminder that He is still at work in our lives today. When we share testimonies, we strengthen our faith and encourage others to trust God for their own breakthroughs.
A testimony is a statement of facts about what God has done. It could be an answer to prayer, a healing, provision, or deliverance. The Bible says: “They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony” (Revelation 12:11).
- Testimonies are weapons of victory — they silence the enemy and magnify God’s glory.
Biblical Examples of Testimonies:
- Hannah: She prayed for a child, and when God gave her Samuel, she testified publicly in the temple (1 Samuel 1:27–28). Her testimony became a source of encouragement for barren women across generations.
- The Blind Man: In John 9, after Jesus healed him, he simply said, “One thing I know: I was blind but now I see!” His testimony was undeniable proof of God’s power.
- Paul: Throughout his ministry, Paul often shared his testimony of how Christ met him on the road to Damascus (Acts 22:6–10). His story inspired faith and transformed lives.
- here's my testimony, I couldn’t afford university despite excellent results, so I prayed for God’s help. He answered — I received a full scholarship to study in the Soviet Union covering flights, housing, tuition, food, winter dresses and a monthly stipend. By His grace, I graduated as a Doctor. Praise God!
Why Testimonies Matter:
- Encouragement: Hearing what God has done for others builds hope in us.
- Faith-building: Testimonies remind us that if God did it before, He can do it again.
- Witnessing: Sharing testimonies is a form of evangelism — it points people to Jesus.
Reflection: Think about your own life. What has God done for you recently? It may be small or great, but every testimony is powerful. Sharing it could be the encouragement someone else needs to keep trusting God.
Prayer: Lord, thank You for the mighty works You have done in my life. Help me to boldly share my testimony so that others may be encouraged and Your name glorified. Amen.
