Reflection:
The song by Teddy Pendergrass reminds us that the world needs awakening. Scripture echoes this call: “The hour has come for you to wake from sleep. For salvation is nearer to us now than when we first believed” (Romans 13:11). Let us rise to our responsibilities with integrity and love.
Politicians – Govern Righteously
“When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; but when a wicked man rules, the people groan” (Proverbs 29:2).  
Leaders must wake up to govern with justice, compassion, and truth. Corruption and selfish ambition destroy nations, but righteousness exalts them (Proverbs 14:34).
Teachers – Teach What Is Right
“Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6). Teachers, wake up to the sacred duty of shaping minds. Teach truth, wisdom, and values that build character, not just information.
Builders – Build Beautiful Cities
“Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it” (Psalm 127:1). Builders, wake up to create cities that reflect beauty, sustainability, and dignity. Let your work honor God and serve humanity.
Doctors – Serve with Conscience
“Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse lepers, cast out demons. You received without paying; give without pay” (Matthew 10:8).  
Doctors, wake up to practice medicine with compassion, not greed. Do not overbill or exploit patients; let conscience guide your healing hands.
Farmers – Plant Pure Food
“The Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to work it and keep it” (Genesis 2:15). Farmers, wake up to steward the earth faithfully. Plant organic food, avoid harmful chemicals, and honour creation by feeding people wholesomely.
Closing Prayer:
Lord, awaken us all to our duties. May politicians govern with justice, teachers instruct with wisdom, builders construct with care, doctors heal with compassion, and farmers sow with purity. Let us rise together to make this world better, for “faith without works is dead” (James 2:26). Amen.

For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again."
