Title : Beware of false doctrines.

"Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. Colossians 2:8"

Devotion : One of the disciples asked Jesus Christ what will be the signs of the end time. Jesus told them the first sign is deception (Matthew 24:4). The devil and his cohorts of darkness have been completely disarmed by Jesus Christ; the weapon they have now is deception: how to deceive mankind to reject the gospel and the saving power of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

 They keep developing strange doctrines to confuse the masses. Some of the doctrines are "Jesus Christ is not God, He is just like one of the Old Testament prophets, He did not really die on the cross, there is no hell, there is reincarnation, etc." Few days back(January 2024) one preacher said online that one should not pray in the name of Jesus. That one should just call on God without giving reverence to the name of Jesus. He was totally against John 14:12-14 which says "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it." Christians must therefore be on the alert to identify and reject these strange doctrines and philosophies. 

  We should not even entertain the people who convey these false teachings. It has come to a point where one has to cross-check any teaching one reads or listens to online. The best solution to defeat fake doctrine is to be knowledgeable in the word of God. 

  So that you'll not be deceived I urge you dear reader to join a Bible teaching Church or fellowship and to participate actively ask questions and seek clarification on any point.
