Devotion: This is the 3rd working day of the year so it is apt to seek God's will in whatever you want to do this year but in reality seeking God's will is a life long thing for a follower of Christ. It is not written anywhere the specific method to know God's will but there are simple steps one can take and arrive at the destination. Please know that the destination is heaven with Christ so while on Earth you're not going to arrive and say it is done.
 The first and most important step is to give your life to Christ as Lord and Saviour, to believe and obey his commandments. The second step is to seek to know God more by reading the Bible daily, this will help you to know and understand the principles of God, what God likes and dislikes. It will help you to live in God's will. 
 The next step is to communicate with God as frequently as possible in prayers. This will enable you to tell God what you plan to do according to what the Bible says. When you pray you have to remain still and quiet for some minutes to listen to what God wants you to do or steps God wants you to take. 
Another step to take is seeking knowledge from Christian elders that you trust. Such elder must be someone filled with the Holy Spirit of God and must live a holy life. Whatever counsel he/she gives must be inline with the word of God. 
The last but not the least is seeking God's Holy Spirit, when you're filled with Holy Spirit, it will guide you in every step you take. It is the still voice that ministers to you and whatever it tell you to do is always in line with the word of God.
Dear reader do you want to know God's will for you this year try the steps above. David did and he was not disappointed so you too will not be disappointed and you will have testimonies to give in . Amen.
