Title: Seek God.

And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. Jeremiah‬ ‭29:13‬ ‭KJV‬
Devotion: In the old testament the Israelites worshipped God but did not have direct access to Him. Only the prophet did, he would enter into the inner sanctuary and communicate with God on behalf of the people. A chain was tied to his waist to pull him out in case of death inside the sanctuary. In other words the people sought God through others, they could not find God themselves.
Prophet Jeremiah was given the revelation to tell Israelites that a time will come when they will not need anyone to communicate with God on their behalf because they will seek God and find Him. This prophecy was fulfilled when Jesus came and we both the physical and the spiritual Jews were liberated.
In John 14:26  Jesus says "But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you." In the day of Pentecost while John was preaching, the prophecy of prophet Joel ["And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh.” (Joel 2:28)] was fulfilled. The 120 disciples in the upper room and another 3000 believers who gave their lives to Christ were all baptized of the Holy Spirit as promised by Jesus Christ.
Thus the inner sanctuary that we could hitherto not access was abolished. We can now seek God and communicate with him even in our houses, place of work, while driving etc. it is possible to pray unto God.
Our hearts have become the temple of God and if we permit God, He will reside inside of us. The permission is to live a righteous life, to obey his commandments and to love God with all our hearts and love or neighbour as ourselves. If we do as above God will dwell in us and we will dwell in God.
Dearly beloved, how do you plan to seek God today? Give time to Bible study, communicate with God in private prayer and open your heart to God for His Holy Spirit to fill it. Please share your thoughts with us here. Halleluyah.
