Title: Jesus is the Truth you Need.
.... and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. John 8:32 KJV
Devotion: What is truth? Our world has many ways of answering this question. Often, this is what we see: truth is whatever you want it to be. It’s defined by the individual and nothing else.
Recently there was an argument online in which someone claimed that his assertion was the only truth, the correct version but all other people in the platform new that this man was wrong yet he tried to force others to believe in his truth. We often find such position in politics; when politicians need the people's votes they tell you black is white and want you to believe.
But God’s definition of truth is different because he himself through his son, Jesus Christ is the truth and the life (John 14 : 6). If you want to enjoy this truth all you need is come to Jesus Christ because only in Him can you have freedom. He will set you free from human deceit. Those who practice idol worshipping know they are deceiving themselves when the bow down before graven images and call it god. I follow Jesus Christ and pray to God and He answers my prayers. This is enough evidence that Jesus is the truth, the way and the life. This truth can only be discovered in the word of God - Bible.
What God says is the foundation of His Word. The Bible is our path to discovering and knowing truth; more steady and solid than the opinions we hear, the information we see around us, or the feelings we feel. This truth never changes.
John 8:32 says, “Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” When we know the truth, we are no longer living according to a lie. This is when we become free to live according to how God designed us to live. What a gift that He has made this truth available to us in His Word. It's right there at our fingertips!
Today, will you not rather search for the truth? Jesus says in Matthew 11:28
"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." I urge you to try Jesus today because tomorrow might be too late (2 Corinthians 6:2). Let Jesus set you free from deceit you had lived all your life. This truth is free gift from God through his son Jesus Christ. Be blessed as you know and live the truth of Jesus.
