Title: Waiting on God is Profitable.
Lamentations 3:25-26 KJV
The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, To the soul that seeketh him. [26] It is good that a man should both hope and quietly Wait for the salvation of the LORD.
Devotion: Waiting is profitable especially when you Wait on the Lord. A farmer prepared the land in September, then plants yams between October and December. The farmer quietly waits for the yams to sprout in January meanwhile he prays for early rain. He cuts grasses to cover the heaps so that the yam seedlings will not burn during the hot season of April. Then comes the rains and weeds start growing so the farmer picks outs the weeds and tends the yams to climb on the sticks. The yam is ready for harvest in June, sometimes in July. In all this the farmer has waited for 9-10 months and he's blessed after.
We Christians have to learn from the farmer and not be in to much hurry. While waiting on the Lord we need to study the Bible, pray unto God and share the good news of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. During this waiting period we reflect on our lives, our past and expectantly Wait on the Lord. We must not lose hope we must remember that there is nothing we have that's not given to us.
Are you waiting on the Lord this morning - for a child, job or relationship? Don't lose hope quietly wait on God and do the background work like the farmer described above. Sarah, Hannah and Elizabeth waited on the Lord and got destiny children. When you Wait you get the best results.
Take a moment to share your testimony with someone waiting on the Lord today and build his/her faith. Hallelujah.
