"Therefore, whoever hears these sayings of mine and does them, I will liken him unto a wise man, who built his house upon a rock."

Devotion:
The world defines wisdom as good judgment or a wise attitude, but as Christians, we know that true wisdom comes from trusting in Jesus Christ and following His teachings. When we believe in Jesus as Lord and the Son of God (John 3:16, John 8:54), we acknowledge His words as wisdom. Are you listening to Jesus' gentle whispers in your heart? Or are you neglecting the wisdom in the Bible and relying solely on yourself (Proverbs 3:5)? Instead, commit your ways to God, and He will prosper you (Proverbs 16:3). Let God guide you on the right path (Psalm 32:8). Build your life, business, and home on the solid rock of Jesus Christ, and you will be transformed. Psalms 90:10  The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away. Devotional: Late music legend – Peter Tosh sang a song with this title many years ago. It came to mind yesterday while I listened to a beautifully delivered sermon at a burial. I therefore penned this devotional on same title. Do not be deceived, at a point in your life you’ll fly away.   There comes a day when the tapestry of your earthly existence is folded.
