Title: Alive in Christ, Dead to Sin.

Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God.‭ 3 John 1:11 KJV
Devotion: As follow up to yesterday's topic Apostle John here admonishes us to imitate God in doing good. When one of my son's was a toddler he imitated me in all I do. He talked as I talked, walked as I walked, when I read he took his brother's book and behaved the same way. Now if I was a drunkered or beating my wife or something worst that's how he would copy my character. But thank God I was not any of that and he grew up disciplined.
Now if we confess that God is our God, our father we should imitate Him in all we do, by doing good, loving, not judging, not begrudging anyone. Our actions and thoughts should tell the world around us that we belong to Jesus Christ. People should see us and call us born again Christian, people should relate with us and call us pastor even when we are not. If this has not happened to you, then you need to check your acts and adjust.
Dearly beloved, why is it that people do not trust your faith in Christ. I urge you to imitate Christ, show love, plant good seeds, read your Bible and let your character spread the good news. It is then that you're alive in Christ and dead to sin. The Lord bless you as you do. Hallelujah.
