Foundation in Christ
A good husband is not defined merely by worldly standards of success or provision, but by his reflection of Christ’s love. Scripture reminds us: “Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her” (Ephesians 5:25). This sets the highest calling — sacrificial love, rooted in grace and humility.

Virtues of a Good Husband:
- Sacrificial Love: A husband lays down his pride, preferences, and even comfort for the well-being of his wife and family.  
- Faithfulness: Loyalty in heart, word, and deed keeps the home secure and free from betrayal.  
- Patience: He endures challenges with gentleness, guiding the family through storms without harshness.  
- Leadership in Christ: A good husband leads by example, pointing his family toward prayer, worship, and obedience to God.  
- Humility: He admits mistakes, seeks forgiveness, and values his wife’s voice as a partner in the journey.  
- Provider and Protector: Beyond material provision, he protects the spiritual atmosphere of the home, ensuring Christ remains central.

Keeping the Home in Love and Harmony:
- Prayer Together: A praying husband builds a praying family. Daily devotion strengthens unity.  
- Communication in Love: Speaking truth with kindness prevents bitterness and fosters understanding.  
- Forgiveness: Just as Christ forgives, a husband must forgive quickly, refusing to let resentment take root.  
- Shared Vision: Aligning goals with God’s Word ensures the family walks in one direction — toward heaven.  
- Service: Acts of kindness, both small and great, keep love alive and tangible.

Building self:
- keeps himself physically fit
- makes provision for his old age when loneliness will set in.
- maintains cordial relationship with fellow Christian elders
- ensures financial independence at old age

Target: Making Heaven
The ultimate goal of a good husband is not merely earthly happiness but eternal joy. By nurturing his home in Christ’s love, he prepares his family for heaven. His leadership ensures that his household is not only peaceful but also spiritually ready to meet the Lord.
