Title: Effective Prayer

for every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
Matthew 7:8 KJV
Devotion: Prayer is a conversation with God, in which you demonstrate your believe in God that God will do that which you asked of Him. To pray effectively Jesus tells you and me what to do in Matthew 7:7 and reinforced it the next verse 8.
Jesus says "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:" these action words are all we need when we pray. When we ask, seek and knock inline with the will of God we will receive, find and it will be opened for us.
God's response to prayer is threefold Yes, No or Not Yet therefore expect one of these responses when you pray but don't stop praying. If you receive a yes thank God, if a No ask God why, it does not mean you query God. You want to know how to ask properly or why you should not ask. If you receive a Not yet thank God and seek direction.
Remember, "for every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened." Dearly beloved, demonstrate your faith and ask God anytime you need something inline with the will of God. Testimonies await you, share your testimony. Hallelujah.
