Title: The Word is Hope!

For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.
Romans 15:4 KJV
Devotion: The word of God we learned  yesterday is God (John 1:1) was purposely written so that you and I might have hope as we go through life. God Himself is Hope personified so His word is Hope.
 The story of Abraham and Sarah tells you no matter how long God will do that which He promised. Joseph's story tells you though you might be persecuted by your own, sent to the pit and prison you'll still achieve what God destined you to be. No matter your sin God of mercy who forgave David will forgive you if you confess and repent. Though you may lose everything don't despair you'll get double portion just like Job.
 In all of these, these patriarchs stood fast they never despaired or look back, they were faithful to the end because they knew the word of God. This is where faith comes in, reading the word and hearing it will increase your faith. Do you read the word only on Sundays or daily. Plan to read it, prepare to understand it and apply it to your life and pray on each verse you read. Testimonies await you dearly beloved. Share it. Hallelujah.

Devotional: Late music legend – Peter Tosh sang a song with this title many years ago. It came to mind yesterday while I listened to a beautifully delivered sermon at a burial. I therefore penned this devotional on same title. Do not be deceived, at a point in your life you’ll fly away.   There comes a day when the tapestry of your earthly existence is folded.
