Title: Better to Have a Good Friend.

"Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up… And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken." — Ecclesiastes 4:9–12 KJV.

Life was never designed to be lived in isolation. God Himself declared in Genesis 2:18, “It is not good that the man should be alone.” Friends are gifts from God to help us walk through challenges, celebrate victories, and grow in faith.  
  - Companionship: Friends provide warmth and encouragement when life feels cold and heavy.  
- Support: When we stumble, a faithful friend helps us rise again. Proverbs 17:17 reminds us, “A friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.”  
- Strength: Together, friends can withstand trials that would overwhelm one person alone.  
   True friendship is built on "Faithfulness" 
Friendship is not just about receiving; it is about giving. To have a good friend, we must be a good friend. Loyalty, honesty, and forgiveness are the marks of true friendship.  
- Faithfulness: Proverbs 18:24 says, “There is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.”  
- Sacrifice: Jesus taught in John 15:13, “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.”  
- Encouragement: A faithful friend speaks life, not discouragement, into your journey.  
  The Best Friend one can have is Jesus, while earthly friends are precious, they are human and limited. The greatest friend we can ever have is Jesus Christ. He is the perfect companion who never leaves nor forsakes us (Hebrews 13:5).  
   - Unconditional love: Unlike human love, His love is steadfast and eternal.  
- Guidance: He walks with us through valleys and leads us beside still waters (Psalm 23).  
- Salvation: He gave His life so that we might live eternally with Him.  
   Jesus is the “third cord” that makes our relationships unbreakable. With Him at the center, friendships flourish, marriages thrive, and communities grow strong.  
  Good friends are treasures, but the greatest treasure is knowing Jesus as your Friend. He is the one who lifts us when we fall, warms our hearts when we are cold, and strengthens us when life presses hard.  
Prayer:  Lord, thank You for the gift of friendship. Help me to be faithful to my friends and to cherish them. Above all, draw me closer to Jesus, my best Friend, who loves me with an everlasting love. Amen.
