Title: Diligence!

Scripture Reading:
"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men." — Colossians 3:23

Devotion: Diligence is more than hard work; it is faithfulness in the small and great tasks entrusted to us. The Bible reminds us that our labor is not merely for human recognition but for the glory of God. When we approach our responsibilities with diligence, we reflect the character of Christ, who said, “My Father is working until now, and I am working” (John 5:17).
The book of Proverbs also teaches: “The hand of the diligent will rule, while the slothful will be put to forced labor” (Proverbs 12:24). Diligence brings fruitfulness, while laziness leads to stagnation. Even in spiritual matters, diligence is vital: “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth” (2 Timothy 2:15).
Reflection: Diligence is not about perfection but persistence. It is choosing daily to honor God with our efforts, whether in study, work, service, or prayer. When we are diligent, we sow seeds that will yield a harvest in due season.
Prayer: Lord, help me to be diligent in all I do. May my work, my service, and my devotion reflect Your glory. Strengthen me to persevere, even when tasks seem small or unnoticed, knowing that You see and reward faithfulness. Amen.
