Title: Hold Not Back the Good News.

Scripture focus: Then they said one to another, We do not well: this day is a day of good tidings, and we hold our peace: if we tarry till the morning light, some mischief will come upon us: now therefore come, that we may go and tell the king's household. 2 Kings 7:9 KJV.

Devotion: In 2 Kings 7:9, the lepers said to one another, “We are not doing right. This day is a day of good news, and we remain silent. If we wait until morning light, punishment will overtake us. Now therefore let us go and tell the king’s household.” Their words echo across time: good news is never meant to be hidden. The Gospel of Christ is the greatest news of all, and it must be shared.
  The apostle Paul reminds us in 2 Corinthians 6:2, “Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.” Salvation is not a distant promise—it is available today. To delay in sharing Christ is dangerous, for life itself is uncertain. James 4:14 soberly declares, “You do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.” How tragic it would be to miss the chance to lead someone to Christ because of procrastination.
  Every day is a day of good news. Every encounter is an opportunity to testify of Jesus. Romans 10:14 asks, “How shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?” You may be the very voice God intends to use to bring someone to faith.
   If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, or if you have drifted away, hear His gentle call today. Revelation 3:20 says, “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.” Jesus longs to enter your heart, to give you new life and peace. He invites you in Matthew 11:28, “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”
  This is the day the Lord has made; rejoice and be glad in it (Psalm 118:24). Do not hold back the good news. Share Christ with someone today. And if you have yet to know Him, open your heart—He alone satisfies, He alone saves, and He alone gives eternal life. “Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who trusts in Him” (Psalm 34:8).
